The Chinese Valentine's Day

  Spring 1993

The Chinese Valentine's Day is different from the western Valentine's Day.  The Chinese Valentine's Day is a different date every year.  It depends on the "Lunar Calendar," which changes dates every year.  It is a different day every year, but one thing never changes: that it will rain on the chinese Valentine's Day (July 7, lunar calendar) every year.
It was a romantic tale.  It happened thousands of years ago.  Seven angels came down to the earth.  They took a shower in a remote and beautiful pond.  while they took a shower they enjoyed a good time and had a lot of fun.  After taking a shower everyone put on clothes and prepared to return home.  One of the seven angels was still enjoying herself when the others went back to heaven.  During that moment a shepherd boy passed the pond and took her clothes.  The angel couldn't come back because she didn't have her own clothes.  The time was up, so she couldn't come back because she didn't have her own clothes.  The time was up, so she couldn't go back to heaven.  The shepherd saw such a beautiful angel.  He fell in love with the angel.  When the heavenly father heard the news he was mad.  He punished them and separated them.  Now they can have a date only on July 7th, lunar calendar, every year.
Now, we can find two stars in the sky on July 7, lunar calendar.  They will connect in one moment.  When they meet, they will cry.  That is why it will rain on that day.  That is a very emotional story, don't you think so?
